New duty

HAIKOU, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- A duty-free shopping complex opened Friday in Haikou, capital of south China's island province of Hainan.

Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex, located on the west coast of Haikou, is next to Xinhai port, a key transportation hub. Developed by China Duty Free Group, the complex spans about 930,000 square meters, including malls, offices, hotels and residential communities.

The duty-free shopping mall has a construction area of around 280,000 square meters, featuring more than 800 well-known international and domestic brands, including 25 that debuted in Hainan's duty-free shops.

There are currently 11 duty-free shopping malls in Hainan, located in the cities of Haikou, Sanya and Qionghai. Enditem
